Current Exhibition: SAY IT LOUD

Thursday, May 16, 2024 – Friday, June 7, 2024 (Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m.)

The Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) Wilma W. Daniels Gallery is proud to present the latest iteration of SAY IT LOUD, a global traveling exhibition that cultivates and elevates the work and contributions of women and diverse designers in the state, raising the visibility of their contributions to the built environment. This exhibition is being brought to the gallery in partnership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Wilmington.

Curated by New York-based architect Pascale Sablan, SAY IT LOUD elevates the work of black, indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) and women designers in built environment fields. This exhibit was initially created by Beyond the Built Environment, an organization dedicated to addressing inequitable architectural disparities by providing a holistic platform to support numerous stages of the architecture pipeline.

The exhibit is free and open to the public and will run from Thursday, May 16 until Friday, June 7.

Please join us for a reception held in conjunction with Fourth Friday Gallery Nights on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 6-9 p.m.

For those who wish to view the works on display, the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery will be open from noon to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, throughout the course of this exhibition.
